From Krakow: Wooden Architecture Trail UNESCO Private Tour
Wooden architecture is a special showpiece of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. When you visit the Wooden Architecture Route, you embark on a magical journey back in time.
The Wooden Architecture Route in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship includes more than 130 unique objects. Among its attractions are churches, Orthodox churches, open-air museums, small-town complexes, manor houses and palaces.
Undoubtedly, however, UNESCO objects and the Folk Architecture Museum in Sanok are the Trail’s distinctive features. The Museum in Sanok is in fact the largest open-air museum in Poland, which in an authentic way reflects the atmosphere of villages and towns in south-eastern Poland from the past. In turn, the Subcarpathian sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List include two churches in Blizne and Haczów and four Orthodox churches, in Chotyniec, Radruż, Smolnik and Turzańsk, distinguished by their mastery and long history.

The Wooden Architecture Route is divided into routes. They constitute nine proposals for spending time in the Podkarpackie Region and learning about the local multicultural history and rich heritage enchanted in wood of numerous churches and secular folk architecture.
